Safe Light Islands: Candleholders and Design Candles for Autumn Evenings

A light island groups candles in one controlled area instead of scattering flames around the room. It creates atmosphere while making supervision and safe distances easier.

Build the light island

1. Choose a stable, heat-resistant tray or surface.
2. Use one or two compatible candleholders.
3. Keep at least the surrounding area free from paper, textiles, plants and dry branches.
4. Add one non-flammable object, such as a ceramic bowl or stone.

Colour and mood

Caramel and cream create warmth, charcoal looks reduced and sculptural, while brighter modular candles become the visual focus. Use unscented candles if a room fragrance is already active.

Fire safety

• Check that each candle stands straight and securely.
• Trim and burn according to the maker’s instructions.
• Never leave flames unattended.
• Keep children and pets away from the light zone.
