SteinKunstWerk presents a tea that brings North German serenity to your cup

Our East Frisian Tea is a carefully composed blend of the finest Assam teas from the renowned gardens of Gingia, Koilamari, Raidang, Seajuli, and Singlijan. It stands for depth, warmth, and the honest aroma of Nordic tea culture. A robust, malty black tea with a subtly sweet aftertaste – created for those who enjoy mindfully.

🍂 A Piece of North German Tradition

In East Frisia, tea is not just a beverage, but a ritual. For centuries, the tea ceremony has been part of daily life – three cups are considered mandatory, each celebrated with care. Robust Assam teas meet rock candy, cream, and the gentle clinking of cups – a moment that makes time stand still.

Our East Frisian tea embraces exactly this tradition: robust, full-bodied, and harmoniously rounded. It develops a deep amber cup and an intense, slightly malty bouquet that wonderfully combines with the gentle melt of cream. A combination that warms body and soul – perfect for mindful breaks and peaceful afternoons.

      🌿 Origin & Quality

The Assam teas used come from organically managed plantations along the Brahmaputra River in North India. The warm, humid climate and nutrient-rich soils give the leaves their distinctive aroma. Each harvest is hand-picked, gently fermented, and then carefully blended. Only the best batches are selected for our East Frisian blend – for a consistently robust, well-rounded taste.

The tea gardens Gingia, Koilamari, Raidang, Seajuli, and Singlijan are among the most traditional cultivation areas in the region. Their leaves are known for their dark color, spicy scent, and dense structure – perfect for a tea with character.

☕ Preparation – the small tea ceremony

The taste of a good East Frisian tea strongly depends on its preparation. In East Frisia, tea is never made in a hurry – every cup is a small ritual. Take a few minutes consciously and enjoy the process:

      1. Boil water: Use fresh, soft water. If your tap water is hard, a filter is worthwhile – it ensures that the flavors develop better.
      2. Dose tea: For one liter of water, 8 – 10 g (approx. 3 teaspoons) of tea are sufficient.
      3. First infusion: Pour half of the hot water (approx. 95 °C) over the leaves, cover the pot, and let it steep for five minutes.
      4. Second infusion: Then fill with the remaining liquid – this creates the typical robust and well-rounded aroma.
      5. Serve traditionally: First, place a piece of Kluntje (white or brown rock candy) in the cup, slowly pour the tea over it, and finally add a drop of cream. The cream does not sink, but forms milky streaks – the famous “Wulkje” – through the tea. Do not stir!

This ritual is meditation in everyday life – slow, calm, conscious. A break from the pace of the world.

      🕯️ Mindfulness & Atmosphere

East Frisian Tea and mindfulness are inextricably linked. The conscious pouring, the scent of the steaming water, the waiting for the right moment – all of this brings you back to the here and now. Combine your tea time with soft light from our hand-poured scented candles or place a LUCEO table fire next to your cup – creating a place of inner balance.

🍪 Perfect Companions – Enjoyment with All Senses

East Frisian tea is traditionally served with pastries – scones, shortbread, or butter biscuits harmonize wonderfully with its robust taste. A piece of dark chocolate also emphasizes its malty depth. For a modern twist, you can combine it with other types of tea – such as a mild Japan Sencha Superior for the afternoon or a Balance herbal tea in the evening.

A tip for the cold season: Add a small piece of cinnamon stick or dried orange peel to the pot. This gives the East Frisian tea a gentle spice and wintery warmth.

      🌾 Sustainability & Responsibility

Our East Frisian Teas are packaged in small batches and delivered in an environmentally friendly way. We use recycled materials, climate-neutral shipping, and – whenever possible – rail transport. This tea also fits the philosophy of SteinKunstWerk: produce mindfully, enjoy consciously.

All packaging is light- and aroma-proof, free of aluminum, and fully recyclable. This not only keeps your tea fresh for a long time but also contributes to a respectful use of resources.

🏡 Storage & Shelf Life of East Frisian Tea

Always store your East Frisian tea in a cool, dry, airtight, and dark place. When stored correctly, it has a shelf life of around 18 months. It is best to keep it in an opaque tin – away from spices, coffee, or perfume, so that its characteristic aroma is preserved.

Tea as part of your Zen routine

At SteinKunstWerk, we understand tea as part of a lifestyle – calm, conscious, decelerated. East Frisian Tea fits perfectly into this concept: strong, grounded, and yet full of warmth. Whether you drink it in the morning to get started, at noon to slow down, or in the evening for reflection – every cup can become a small moment of mindfulness.
