Concrete and solid oak: thoughtful interior design combinations
Why the contrast works
Concrete has a mineral, matte feel. Solid oak contributes warmth and distinct natural grain. The contrast can look balanced without filling every surface with decoration. Hand-cast pores and variations in timber grain can occur.
Desk storage
Sandvika holds pens, a phone and notes. Alesund focuses on writing utensils and small notes; its variants come with or without a note block. Choose the one that meets your daily needs.
Photo and message display
Egersund holds a favourite picture or card. One meaningful photograph can personalise a space without clutter.
Storage with a lid
Farsund has a concrete body and oak lid. Compare S and M dimensions and weight before placing it on furniture. Use it for dry small objects, not unpackaged foods without explicit permission.
Care
Wipe with a soft, barely damp cloth and dry the wood. Avoid standing water, harsh cleaners and unstable surfaces. Oak's grain and its response to changes in humidity vary naturally.
Scandinavian and Japandi homes
The combination fits calm, functional interiors where each object has a purpose, rather than adding clutter for appearance alone.
